Soundpools

Ian13RL wrote on 4/12/2018, 7:48 PM

just purchased the premium version of magix music maker and downloaded the chillout sunner rain soundpool however i cannot play the loops. i get a splash screen saying the program cannot access them. however they are there i have checked. How do i get the programme to see them and play them?

P.S. I have checked and there are several other soundpools I have downloaded that will not play. BTW these are the soundpools I downloaded either free or with coupons that were included in the purchase price.

Can you access the folder in the listed file-path? That's where the files are stored. Perhaps they were not saved there? I'm talking about C:\users\public\.....\MAGIX\....

Yes I can. I have however just realized that all the soundpools that do not play are ones I downloaded with the free copy of Magix Music Maker. I have tried rescanning them but that does not work.

I have solved my problem:)). The affected sound pools were all the free ones I had down loaded with the free copy of Music Maker. I initially changed the file name. Music make the allowed me to reload them. Hey presto it works.

However there are still some loops showing that say the files have been deleted. The Files in question are in the sound pool library. But not in shop but in a folder called Basics_24 The loop files contained here are ogg vorbis files where the shop loop files are MXCOGG files. Any body any ideas where thes have come from?

I am using Magix 2020 premium and bought an additional soundpool from producerplanet.com which I've downloaded and placed in the c:users/puublic/documents/magix/common/soundpools but I cannot get them to go into the progam to use them. Somehow I got them to work on one computer but when downloading to my laptop in the same folder...they are there but they don't show up. Please HELP!

@Ginny

Hi,

In Music Maker, you have to add the new soundpool. In the Loops tab of the Media Pool, click on the parameter gear at the right, select Add new soundpool, and navigate to the location of the new soundpool to get it added.

Just to be sure, did you also download everything under the Downloads button after activating your Premium version?
