Soundpool preview pitches optionable? Need some help.

Hello,

I try to use the f, c and ab minor pitches. But the soundpool won't let me be able to do this. There are only 7 options and none come near. I can drag it into my f minor track and it changes to that pitch, so why can't I change the preview options to this?

I can change it on the top gray bar under advanced>minor. But I want to hear it from the soundpool without playing my song. Is there anyone who knows how to make this possible?

Or is there maybe an option where I can select my own pitches from the 7 possible options?

AFAIK the Soundpool loops preview samples cannot be changed from their preset pitches - only on the timeline as you have done.

Hi,

The Soundpool loops are audio samples pre-recorded by professional musicians in each of the 7 keys. This is what you are previewing - the original sample at the pitch selected in the Media Pool. Once on the Arranger, you can change the pitch slightly using the dropdown table, or by using the Tempo pitch/resample effect (which does the same thing).

Maybe to be a bit more clear, it's like previewing a photo, the original photo. You don't preview a photo modified with effects. When you put it in the project, you can then change the look, size, etc., but you can't do that before bringing it into the project - that's what the program is for.

Once on the Arranger, you can Solo the track and listen to only the loop, not what is on other tracks. That should help you.

Just to be clear on the jargon, you say that "I can drag it into my f minor track and..." Not quite. You are dragging onto a track; tracks are on the vertical axis and correspond to instruments. Pitches are on the horizontal axis, which is a timeline. If you drag a sample onto a track, it will either take its original pitch or the pitch shown on the top gray bar, depending on where you place the sample on the track. Thus, you don't have an "f minor" track.

Thank you to make it fully clear!! I undertand its not possible. With my f minor track I didn´t mean `a` track but my my full timeline, so all tracks. That was a unclear, sorry about that ;) .
