Soundpool License upgradable?

Hi,

I was thinking to get some soundpools from planetproducer or from within the MMM Windows application. I was wondering if I bought a soundpool to try that out first, so with a personal use license, and then decided to put that to some use that might be considered commercial.

In such a case do I get an option to upgrade the license i.e. pay the difference between commercial and personal, or pay the listed commercial license price.

So, if

SoundPool X = $10 Personal and $20 Commercial.

I buy personal license, and I would later like to use that in a way that it is considered commercial.

So I pay another $10 and upgrade the use to commercial or I need to pay the complete $20 for the commercial license..

Thanks,

Amol

@Amol-Bakre

Welcome to the Magix forums.

I think this is a question that you will need to post direct to Magix Sales. I suspect the answer is that you will need to pay the full price for the upgrade from Personal to Commercial but I could be wrong.

@ralftaro, can you help with this?

Hi all,

I'm afraid I have to confirm that there is no such thing as a license type "upgrade" option at the moment. I have suggested to management and development to consider something like this for the future, but that's probably more of a long shot. I can imagine that, due to technical and practical limitations, something like this would always be a very imperfect system. It might be able to offer upgrade options to users who have obtained their non-commercial soundpools via the current back-end system (Music Maker in-app store, ProducerPlanet), but wouldn't reliably know the ownership/purchase status of the non-commercial soundpools acquired through any other system (e.g. soundpools included with other MAGIX product lines or older Music Maker version, Catooh purchases, magix.com purchases etc.) So, someone might always feel left out. However, that's better than nothing, I suppose.

Cheers!
