Hi there,

I had a look at this. This doesn't really seem to be a fully standard-compliant Music Maker soundpool, since it's not musical content, but a collection of individual one-shot samples. Did you grab this from ProducerPlanet.com? From what I can see, it doesn't show up in a search via the Music Maker in-app store. If I do index it in the database in Music Maker, only part of the sub categories (and thus only part of the samples) will show up. You'd need to use the built-in file manager or Windows file browser to navigate the entire sample pack and take advantage of all samples.

Probably expected behaviour, but I have escalated this to our content and Music Maker product management to see whether this can be either made fully functional in Music Maker, or whether the content should e.g. be packaged and advertised differently to avoid misunderstandings.

Cheers!

@ralftaro

I think the key here is that @xrated is using MM 2016, not 2019. From what I recall, Sound Effects would not show up in 2016.

I presume that the OP is talking about "Bonus Pack 2016" which contains 2 folders, Songs and Sound FX. They do show up for me in 2019, but not in 2016 Live.

Since you mentioned the File Manager, would it be possible to have it like it is in MEP with the ability to create links to folders? Didn't it use to do that?

@browj2

Hi John,

Yeah, wasn't too sure what content the OP was referring to, but the answer will probably amount to pretty much the same thing. I figured @xrated may still be referring to this ProducerPlanet item, since it goes by the name they mentioned, and can be obtained as a freebie:

https://www.producerplanet.com/gb/article/essential-sound-fx-vol-1-3438/

As far as this item goes, our content people pointed out that it's marked as "SoundFX" to distinguish it from soundpools. So, probably no change on that end. This still leaves the possibility that it can be better supported in Music Maker's loops manager in the future, if the Music Maker team decides to implement the necessary changes.

I'll pass on your feature request regarding the file manager for our development backlog.

Cheers!
