Sound Forge Pro 16 update crash and reboot. Ugh

Today SF 16 Pro notified me that there's an update. I allowed it to download the update and install. Before I had a chance to glance over at its progress after a few minutes, the computer (windows 10 22H2) was restarting. After a normal restart, the associations with my WAV files > SF16 were gone. The folder for SF16 was still there, but there were no executable files. The program was no longer installed. I went to Magix to DL the install again, but the only one available was the same one I had been running (soundforgepro16_dlm_ui89be.exe). There was nothing in my 'downloads' folder ( I presume it deleted the install file after it thought it had updated the application). So, let's re-install the old version right? After 30 minutes there is zero progress (see photo) . I was unable to 'uninstall' anything via Windows, b/c there was no application there to unisntall. So I deleted as much as I could from the SF16Pro folder and tried the reinstall again. And again, after 30 minutes, no progress. Help!

Update: After a full hour, the 'pause' indicator finally moved and it's installing. When I originally installed this, it took less than 10 minutes as I recall. But at least I'm on my way to back where I was before. Let's called that progress, right? Ugh.

Here's another update: Everything installed correctly except for the updater software. Something about having to restart the PC due to previously installed windows updates....but the thing that DID happen that you need to watch out for: If you allow it to install the Izotope RX elements plugins, it will UNINSTALL any existing RX Pro (in my case RX10 Pro). This is just unacceptable to me. now I have to re install RX 10 Pro, and all of my settings will be gone. A word of warning "do you want to uninstall RX10 which is already installed?" would be nice. Ugh.

I did not have any issues installing the update, though it was slow downloading and installing, even on my relatively fast connection and PC. Unfortunately, some of the issues remain broken.

I will find a direct link to the unpacked file, if someone needs it. Though there is not much a reason to update since the key issues are still 'forked up'.

@rraud Hah! I was hoping that this update would solve a few things, but I"m with you. I"ll wait until the next update perhaps. Do you know what they updated?

The answer is simple. Nothing has been fixed.

The update is complete garbage I installed it yesterday and I haven't been able to use it without crashes and sending numerous error reports. is there anyway to get the previous update back?

Magix is unable to fix Sound Forge's problems, making it worse and worse.
