Sound Forge Pro 16 Suite missing correct SpectraLayers Pro 9 installer

Hey guys,

I just bought the upgrade to Sound Forge Pro 16 Suite, and once again you screwed up the installer. It has the old version of SpectraLayers Pro 8 bundled with it, which I already have, NOT the one you have listed, SpectraLayers Pro 9. You seem to have this issue every year with not checking the bundles.

Can you please fix this and send out revised installers? I love your products and have supported you guys for many years, but you need to hire better people to handle your software releases. It seems very unprofessional when this keeps happening.

You can download SL9 directly from Steinbergs website.

Thanks for the reply, but will it be authorized if I do that? That also doesn't really resolve the problem of not properly checking the releases. I own most of Steinburg's software too, but I will need a key for the latest version of SpectraLayers Pro to work, and didn't get a seperate one when I upgraded the suite

Also, if Magix doesn't monitor these forums, why are they listing them as "support"? I do appreciate your help, but there are a lot of issues that friendly folks like you won't be able to handle.

See this recent thread where another user was also missing the SpectraLayers Pro activation serial. To summarize, contact Magix Customer Service. Email them at: infoservice@magix.net -or- sales@magix.net. That said, I do not see anything about SLP-9 and is still listed as SLP-8 on the website. Email Magix for a definitive answer.

If Magix doesn't monitor these forums, why are they listing them as "support"

Ninety + percent of the time, an issue can be resolved mush faster by users who have experienced the issue already or have read of a setting, procedure or work-around. For instance, a support request can take two-days to get some kind of response aside from the confirmation email.
As @SP. stated, there is (usually) no Magix staff here and even the moderators cannot issue an activation serial or access customer information.

OK, it was answered in the email, and I didn't read thoroughly enough.

It isn't in the installer, it must be downloaded separately, but SP and rraud, thank you for your responses!

My correction was to save people time by adding "LOOK AT THE END OF THE EMAIL, THE ANSWER IS THERE", I'm not sure why you feel they need to read this whole thread to find out that my complaint was invalid, it clarified rather than confused the point. Now they may miss that, TLDR, so why reverse my edit?
