Sound Forge Pro 14 - Installer is unable to update Sound Forge Pro 14

I've attempted multiple times to install the update (Patch 7) to Sound Forge Pro 14 but each attempt fails with the same message: "The Installer is unable to update Sound Forge Pro 14.0 while it is running." The problem is, the installer had shut down Sound Forge Pro already! So, Sound Forge Pro is *NOT RUNNING*, as verified by the Windows Task Manager. There is a bug somewhere and I've been unable to do any updates over the last several months.

This is a 64bit desktop running Windows Home 10 version 21H1 ---Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8700 CPU @ 3.20GHz 3.19 GHz ---- 64GB of RAM.

Download the latest build from the Magix Service Center or the Magix Download Center.

Install the SOUND FORGE Pro 14 (build 140) application (64 and/or 32 bit) without uninstalling first, All your custom settings and such will remain just like the update procedure. You do not need to reinstall the other items in the installation manager.
