It's hard to upgrade to SF11 if you are already running it. Hopefully there's a special upgrade price for those who already have it. I'd be sorely disappointed if I had pay the € 798,00 that's listed as the regular upgrade price (I think that's listed incorrectly, but it's what the website says.)

What about us SF11 users?

I'm sure Magix will have an upgrade price scale for current license holders of SF. Pro 12 is currently in the beta test phase.

In my opinion, this promotion should mean that existing SF Pro 11 users should also get a free up grade to v12.

I'm inclined to wager that it doesn't, but we'll see. If I have to pay to upgrade to v12, then that means I had to pay for both v11 and v12, whereas the people this promotion is directed towards only have to pay for v11. Does that make sense?

I tried to call their presales support (305-722-5810 in US). This office is open a whopping 4 hours/day M-F. 4 hours! After I punched the right number to direct my call -- and I mean instantly after that, a recorded voice says that "currently all lines are busy, please call back" and then hangs up the call -- typical of the level of support I've generally received from Magix (and no Chat option). I'll try email.

There's also no information that I could find online about SF Pro 12 as of yet. The links in the promotional email Magix has been sending out basically take you to info on SF Pro 11. It would be nice if they'd give a preview of v12.

The chance of that happening is zero.
