Sound Forge presents noise-click during editing and rendering.

Sound Forge Pro 17 is experiencing click noises on the timeline during recording, editing, and rendering. I have confirmed that it is not a hardware issue, as the same problem was observed on two different machines. On these same two machines, previous versions of Sound Forge were installed and did not have this issue. I checked for any updates but did not find any information about this.

@Paulo-Coluti Are you editing compressed audio files? Please convert them first to WAV or enable the option to always proxy compressed audio files in the program preferences.

Next, please make sure you cut audio files only at zero crossings to prevent clicks and pops.

Clicks and pops during recording can be caused by lost samples. This can happen if your CPU or hard disk cannot keep up. In which sample rate, bit depth and how many channels are you recording at once?
