Sound Forge Error

Getec-Irdeb wrote on 7/26/2022, 10:37 AM

Sound Forge Pro 16 has two problems: sometimes the playback of the audio suppresses parts (in the case of a human voice, it is as if the person stopped speaking some syllables), and when I return to playing the impaired part, it returns to normal. This is serious because it compromises the editor's confidence in the audio they work on, significantly increasing the time needed for editing. 2) Changing the audio, another problem occurred: it is possible to hear small "knocks" that are not in the original file and that are also not saved in the final file. Even so, like the occurrence above, they make the publisher's trust difficult.

Welcome to the Magix Sound Forge users community @Getec-Irdeb.

Do all file types exhibit the same behavior?
Are the glitches consistent throughout the file or just at the start?
Are there any plug-ins being used like a noise gate or expander?
Are your monitor hardware connections good? An oxidized plug/jack connection can cause what sounds like dropouts.

Based on your description, I do not recall any bug reports of this sort

Yes it happens with all types of files. the flaws are consistent in all audio editing, there is no plugin, yes 100% normal hardware connections, there is nothing oxidized because they are new equipment, with only days of use

Hi @Getec-Irdeb, I would first try using a different audio device "Options> Preferences> Audio". If that does not help, re-set Sound Forge and clear the cache (in the 'File' menu).
Otherwise, uninstall and reinstall. I recommenced using a third-party uninstaller like 'Revo Uninstall' that can remove left-over registry entries and other pertinent data the default uninstall leaves behind, which is usually the root cause of issues which can reoccur when an app is reinstalled.
Revo Uninstall is highly regarded and has pro and freeware versions The free version is adequate in most cases. Use the advanced scan mode and try not to delete shared data if another version of Magix Sound Forge is installed.
