Sound Forge 15 and Ozone 10

Macula wrote on 12/23/2022, 2:55 PM

I recently purchased some Izotope products separate from Magix, I wonder if SF15 can load Ozone Elements 10 in it?

I noticed there is a dedicated button for Ozone Elements 9, but I don't own that, and SF doesn't seem to detect OE10.

So I am just curious if it's just on my end issue or if it generally doesn't work if it's not bundled together.

Seasons greetings and welcome to the Magix Sound Forge users community @Macula

Ozone Elements 10 should be available as a VST-3 in the SF-15 "Fx Favorites> Organize" menu. There may be a 64 bit VST-2 version of Ozone Elements 10 as well, but I am not sure.
If you do not see Ozone and other VST-3 plugs in the 'Organize' menu, confirm the VST-3 folder is designated in the VST folder search list. "Options> Preferences> VST Effects"
btw, VST-3 plug-ins are installed in the "Program files> Common files> VST3" folder.

FWIW... SF-16 has a new (cluttered up) 'Plug-in Manger' utility in the 'View' folder in place of 'Fx Organize', IMO, 'Fx Organize' was more intuitive and easier to navigate.

Thanks for the reply, this gave me a nudge in the right direction. At first, it didn't show in Organize but after adding a folder it finally showed.

Now only if I can find a hack to make that button work on that it wouldn't leave it wasting it, at least it works if nothing else.

Where and what button or menu are you refereeing to?
Do you have Sound Forge 15 Pro or Audio Studio?

It's Sound Forge Audio Studio 15, you can see the button in question in images:

In either case, I am satisfied at least that I can find and open Ozone 10 regardless if the button works or not

Ozone Elements 10 does not support Sound Forge 16 but im not sure about 15. I found out the hard way. I ended up using Elements 9.

There is currently bug in Sound Forge Pro 16.1 that causes problems with Ozone Elements and some other VST-2 and 3 plugs. Which we hope will be resolved soon (but do not hold yo' breath), If there is a 64 bit VST-2 version of Ozone Elements 10, try that or use SF-15.

The missing Instant Actions OZ button is a minor inconvenience IMO.
