Sound Card for recording in MMM 16

Hi!

I'm running the MMM 16 on my MacBook Pro with Windows 7.

When I record through the internal sound card, there is too much latency.

I have a Mbox, but I don't think this can be used with MMM16.

What do you experienced people recommend? I guess the solution is to buy another external sound card? Do you have any tips about which sound card working well with MMM16?

Thanks!

Hi,

Do not buy anything unless you read below please. It is better first try to solve problem then think of buying.

I have answered a similar problem few days ago, if you will follow instruction given alongwith an image I guess you can solve problem. However, fact is some software openly claim they work with Windows 7 but they don't. Here is a link. In the answer only follow what is needed and leave rest. My id is nihon94.

Try different settings, after making changes in Magix Music Maker and in Control Panel/Audio it is better if you could re start computer.

Here is alos a link to ASIO driver website. Some people also use it.

If still need help feel free to ask.

Thank you

I have now spent most of the weekend preparing to record some vocals to my projects.

I have for quite some time used MMM16 to compose songs combining loops form the Soundpools and drawing lines in Vita. So far so good.

I have also recorded ideas and simple melody lines in audio recordings, so I know my equipment works.

But yesterday I started working with recording audio (vocals) into my existing MIDI projects, and then I discovered something. When I open one of my projects and try to record into it, only the MIDI record dialog opens. How can I get audio record dialog to open in my MIDI-project?

(In other projects with only audio, the audio recording dialog opens)

I have read a lot on these pages, tutorials and in the MMM16-manual, but I can't find any straight solution to this.

I read a lot of the stuff that you experienced users write in here and I'm very eager to learn how you in the most reasonable way add vocals to your music project? And how do you playback the instruments to sing along while recording vocals?

I'm sorry to bother you with these questions, but I can assure you that I have spent a lot of time researching...

Thank you for your help and understanding :-)
