The only reason I can think for this to happen is if your new monitor has made itself the default audio device for your computer, especially if is connected via HDMI.

You need to go to Settings>System>Sound and check what device(s) is/are shown for Input and Output. The former needs to be whatever you use to connect to your input.

If that is not the solution, you need to check the privacy settings in Windows that access to the Mic is allowed, even if you do not actually use the mic!
