Sony Lanc and extra monitor.

Camera Sony HRD-HC9 (HDV-tape camera)
I want to remote-control the camera on a crane, and use a LANC-cable and original Sony handle for start/stop and zooming, and a small extra monitor, attached to the yellow cable (for TV etc) for the picture. It works OK, except that the information "STBY" and "REC" does not appear in the monitor, so I cant see if the camera is recording or not.
Does anyone know where to find these signals on the camera, or the adress to a Sony Forum or other Forum where I can pose the same question?
Thanks, Andreas

Hi Andreas

Sony cameras, unlike many other brands, actually give you an uncluttered view of the video you are shooting via the video out socket.

AFAIK there is no setting to enable the (IMHO) clutter of all the system icons on the monitor.

In the case of my camera it has a led indication on the back that it is recording - I presume yours is on the front of the camera.

The Sony forum is on their website sony.com - link is at the bottom of the page

Thanks for your answer John, but now the issue is solved! The last way out of a problem is often to look in the manual (!!!) There is a point in the camera menu, LCD/VF Set, activating this was all I had to do !
