Sonic Foundry MP3 Plugin 2.0

Hello Magix Forum -

I have a full version of Sound Forge 6.0, that is fully registered. When I try to open an MP3, it asks me for an activation code for the Sonic Foundry MP3 Plugin 2.0. I know it's very old, but it still would be of much use to
me. Interestingly, the serial number for SF6 is the same as the serial number that comes up on the activation
page for the Plugin. Any suggestions? Thanks so much - TheProf

Hell-o Again -

The folks at Magix have asked me to be a little more concise:

I have Sound Forge 6.0 and it is now fully registered at Magix. When I open SF6, and proceed to "Help" and scroll
down to "About Sound Forge", it says "This product is licensed to":
(My Name)
(My Company)
XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX (Either Serial # or License Key #)
XXXXXXX-XX (Computer ID)

When I try to open an MP3, an error message comes up: "The file C:\XXXX.mp3 cannot be opened until its plugin has been registered". The "Please Register" page comes up and says: "You must now register Sonic Foundry MP3 Plugin 2.0 to continue using it". I choose "Online" method, and a new page comes up that says:
"An error has occurred during online registration", lists my Serial #, Comp ID, and leaves a blank box for my
activation code.
The serial number listed is the same # that is listed in the "About Sound Forge". It is NOT the serial # that is the one listed in my Sony Creative Software account, that is now my Magix account.
My Sound Forge 6.0 software works perfectly fine, even in 64-bit. It just won't open an MP3 until I get an activation code to register the plugin.
I don't think I can be any more concise than that, sorry. Once again, my life will be fine if I can't get this to work,
but I could use it, and if all it takes is a code, I'd sure appreciate that! Thanks again - TheProf

I am having the same issue... were you able to resolve?

Hi Matt Z - It appears they have a hitch in their giddyup. Also, not the easiest site to maneuver around (I kept getting a 404 page with a wooly brown cow.) It's funny, not the cow, but how well MP3 function works in SF6 on
on my other computer. Oh well, like I mentioned, life will go on. Good luck.
