Do you mean that pressing play has no response or that you cannot hear the song?
Please give more detail eg by song do you mean a audio file, a project or what?

It plays but there is no sound.

Without more information, I suspect you will find the audio playback device is set to ASIO and your sound card does not support this
Change it to as shown below.
