Solo doesn't mute other channels

Joezoot wrote on 10/9/2019, 3:46 AM

Hi,

I recently updated to Samplitude Pro X4. When I click "Solo" on a track it doesn't completely mute the other tracks, it just lowers the volume of them a little. I'm guessing this is in settings somewhere, but I haven't been able to find it. I tried changing the "Global solo modes" on the master fader (since search showed me a post about that working) but that didn't help. What is Solo "supposed to" be set to if I right-click the S-button?

Thanks!
Mikael

@Joezoot

Since your question refers to Samplitude Pro X4 I wonder whether you would be best advised to register at and repost to the dedicated Samplitude forum here?

Thank you! I appear to be a member there as well, but I didn't remember. However, I found the sollution through the Help index. Open the mixer, in the bottom right corner click under Solo / Monitor so it turns from AFL to PFL and right-click under that button and check "Solo bus inactiv / Solo inplace".
