So I`m not the only one unhappy with this program. I`ve got music on my slideshow I can`t get rid of! And trying to get answers on the net is useless. Back to Windows DVD maker for me! Fast and straightforward to use.u
While you may be frustrated at the software it does not help if you vent that frustration in the forum.
Clear and precise information is required - include detais about which version of Photostory, how you created the project ie did you use the wizard etc, what files are on the timeline and can you see the music when in timeline mode.
Also try reading the installed manual first - there is a lot of information in there, including how to switch views to timeline mode so you can see the video / images/ audio objects that are in the project.
Sorry, I copied someone else's comment. I have photo ultimate 4 in 1 which was sold exclusively by best buy. It is 2015 version. I put all the music in the photo story and it played ok. I decided to change the music around and the audio line disappeared. I went to the top and did "remove all background music." It disappeared from the audio line. I went to put another music in and it still had the old music which played along with the new. I tried to burn it so I could see if it was a just a fluke, but when I tried to burn it, it would only backup. It also gave me an error that a .dll file was missing.
Make sure that you are in timeline mode. You should have 8 tracks, I believe, and you should be able to scroll up and down (vertically) the tracks to see them all. Your audio file will be on one of the tracks. Select it and delete it.
Do you have the most recent patch. Go to Help in the top menu, Online update, or something like that and check. If there is a new version, it will say so. Download and install it.
Also under Help, you will see something like Free downloads. Did you download and install all of these? If not, do so.
Try burning a DVD again. Tell us which parameters you use and a step by step of what you do. We can't see your screen and we don't know what you are doing. I also suggest that you read the part about Burning in the manual, to make sure that you are doing it correctly. PhotoStory has to cover European and North American systems and different formats, so you have to make sure that you are using the one(s) that are pertinent for you.
