Snap the Editing Cursor?

Greetings,

I am using MAGIX Movie Edit Pro 2013 Plus version 12.0.2.3 and I have a question that should be simple but I can't seem to find it. How do you set the program to retain your position in the preview when you hit "Stop".

Meaning: You are watching the video via the preview, you get to the spot you want to edit, you hit stop and the editing cursor STAY where it was when you hit stop.

Currently when I hit stop it jumps back to the position it was in when I first started previewing. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi

You can use the Down arrow on the key board to stop (up arrow to start) or go to the "Program Setting > Playback Tab > Arranger" and tick "Space bar behaviour" which will start and stop with the spacebar (and play / stop button) at the current playback position. With this set, the "mouse wheel click" still starts from the previous stop position, which is handy.

Cheers

Stealer

Thanks that was exactly what I was looking for.

I'm a previous Adobe Premiere user who I'm ashamed to say pirated the software cause I never had enough money to buy it at it's ridiculously expensive price. I was looking for software that was similar to use so I didn't have a massively new learning curve but alot cheaper so I could actually stop pirating and pay. I bought Magix from Steam and I am very pleased with it :)
