Slideshow wizard not working with SELECTED RANGE

daleg2 wrote on 5/10/2013, 5:18 PM

I have a project from last year I need to update this year.... Loaded the project, saved as new name for this year.  Deleted content from the middle of the project, resaved.  Imported lots of new pictures, selected just the new pictures, go to EDIT/ WIZARDS/SLIDESHOW MAKER   check the apply to seleceted range and hit preview... it appears things are working but when completed.... no changes have been made to the selected slides.

I am running the 2013 version available on the website as of today 10 APR 2013  movie Edit Pro 2013 Premium

Please advise.

DUH.... I guess I should use this thing more than once a year.    Selecting a group of images IS NOT the same as SETTING RANGE......  Right Click time line where you want to START and go to MARKERS/Start Marker....  Then go to the end and set END MARKER.

Hi,

You spotted your mistake just before I posted!

I don't use the wizard a lot (which is probably why my projects take a lot longer to finish than they should).  So I'd be interested to know a bit about your (and others') preferred templates and settings and general approach please.

One other point to watch out for is ensuring that the option to apply the wizard to the selected range is actually selected when your target is anything other than the entire timeline. The default is unchecked and it's easy to end up with running the wizard for the whole project, and I've found that it's not consistently possible to stop it quickly.
