Yeah, I'm wondering this too. I actually started learning another DAW because it has sidechaining and I can't get my tracks to sound clean enough on Acid. I love how easy and intuitive Acid is and learning a new DAW is a struggle but without sidechaining Acid is going to lose out.

any news on the sidechain sender?

I left Acid pro 2008 for many reasons, not getting clean sounding exports (comparing to Cubase) was indeed one of the reasons. But returned to Acid when found out that version 8 was coming. You are at the beginning my friend, I can tell you this much that Acid is completely different from other DAWs but its still behind in many things. I am sticking around for 2 reasons, I have been paying since version 8 and up to 10 now, secondly, I am waiting like everyone else for useful updates. In hopes that Magix will hold out on Upgrades from this point and just work on fixing what needs to be fixed from Version 7. Just as a suggestion, the sidechaining is the easiest in Ableton, studio one and Cubase. FL studio is still messy....just a suggestion. But definitely keep working with Acid and learn it, you will find yourself way more creative here than in any other DAW. But, as of now, you are going to need a lot of patience as this DAW is still full of issues.
I am using that DAW you mentioned though not the latest version and to be honest it lacks some things Acid has. For example in Acid if I want to change the curve of the automation I just right click and pick a curve type, slow, fast, straight line etc. It's so much easier on Acid. Depending on when sidechaining is going to be released will determine where I spend my money, either upgrading to the latest Acid version or on the new version of the other DAW. Using other DAWs has made me realise what a great DAW Acid can be.

Yup, thats why I mentioned, stick with Acid, I have hopes that Magix will soon fix many other issues. There is no DAW on the planet that can match the ease of use which Acid has. But I gave you heads up that many other features are still lacking in Acid, like the items you mentioned earlier. However, other DAWs maybe more expensive (full versions) then Acid as well. But the worst Acid Pro issue being will be the random crashes. So just keep in mind so you know exactly where your money gets spent.
I recently bought ACID Pro 10 even though I couldn't for the life of me make sidechaining work while using the trial version - the SC sender would disappear everytime. So it was a real leap of faith that I would someday, somehow.
Today I finally figured it out: you must RIGHT-CLICK the eFX Compressor then a sidechain input menu allows you to choose the SC sender track. This automatically inserts (and sticks) the sender in the chosen track.
