Assuming you mean you have clips, placed consecutively on a single track or pair of tracks then No, you cannot shorten more than one at the same time. I'm honestly not sure how you could be sure you were shortening/editing each clip at the "right place".

If all the clips are on adjacent tracks and thus appear on the timeline in a "vertical column" then it is possible to make a cut at the same point of the timeline on all the clips, but again, I'm not sure why you would want to do that???
