SF17 after overlaying vox to music, SF puts a thump in the track

I was creating a watermark sample track, trying out SF17 and it created an audible thump after the watermark was overlayed on the track.

Am I missing a setting?

Hi @EOHAudioEditor, you might try enabling "Options> Snapping > Enable> Zero Crossings".. and/or using the 'Mix' or 'Event' mode, which would offer even more options such as 'gain' and 'cross-fades'.
If you do not know already 'Mix' is in the 'Edit> Paste Special' menu. The 'Event' mode can be enabled in the "Edit> Tool" menu or the toolbar icon. There are additional event settings in the 'Options' menu, such as auto x-fades and ripple.
