SF Pro 14 crashes on Save As .WAV

Just got SFP14 - this is what I'm getting -

1. Nothing open in SF - File -> New -. Record some audio.

2.Save As -> choose WAV from list - Get the dialog saying successfully saved (which it is). Click Yes, or No to open. CRASHES.

3. Start SFP14 again - error message - unknown temp files - choose fix - clears the error and back to normal.

4. Wav file is fine and I can edit etc., thereafter.

5. Crash does not happen if I Save As .MP3, or as te default - FRG Project file.

Anyone any ideas on this? I have plenty of disc space etc. Cheers.

ROBERT

Computer? OS? Interface?

I cannot duplicate this behavior on my desktop, I will try my Win 10 laptop ASAP. Try changing the "Temporary files and record folder" in "Options> Preferences> General" Did you follow the record procedure, It was changed some from the legacy SF Pro.

- Go to "Options> Preferences> Audio" and select the 'Record' tab.
- Confirm or select Audio box as the record device type ,
- Select "File > New" and set sample rate and bit depth  parameters
- Go to "View> Record options" and make an other parameter changes if so desired.
- Leave the "Record options" window open and select "Arm" (shortcut: Ctrl+ Shift+ A)
- Viewing the record level meters in the Record options window, make any necessary record level adjustments in Audio box.
- Commence recording by selecting "Record" in the transport (shortcut: Ctrl+ R) .

Addendum: Win 10 laptop records w/o issue

So was this ever resolved? Just curious.

No, I use a work-around renaming an existing wav file and recording into that.
