Your comment to ChristoC that he is "wrong" about the installer is itself, basically, wrong! The installer linked to is the only one offered by Magix, I believe. I don't have SF but all the Magix products I own require the user to download an "Installation Manager", which then downloads to the user's computer all the files required to install the chosen product.
I'm not sure whether your aversion to such a situation is because you wish to retain the actual installation files on your computer? If so, once those files have been downloaded and the installation completed you should have the option to "save" those files wherever you wish. (That's what I do, and have done over a number of versions of different Magix products.)

Thanks Jeff,
You are right, I want to keep the installer on my machine.
Sadly, I didn't found the option to save the installer wherever I want.
I could set where to install SF, and the installer was clever enough to install the update where the previous version was, not in the given path!.
Thanks for this. As I said, my direct experience is with other Magix products but I found all the installation files I wished to retain within a folder called "MAGIX Downloads" within the "Documents" folder (on my W10 machine). I simply copied them from there to a folder of my choice.
As for waiting for SF 12, assuming you're hoping the situation of the installer will work differently, I strongly suspect this is NOT going to happen. Magix' preference for an Installation Manager type install seems to be present in all their current software.
