I just got myself a M-Audio Keystation 61es on christmas, and I am having some problems and thoughts!
1. I am not sure if I should keep this midi-keyboard or not! For about 50$ more, I can get a Yamaha PSR-E343 or a Casio CTK-4200, that are regular keyboards, with midi/usb in- and output! Why should I keep my Keystation, when I pretty much can get the same thing and MUCH more on a regular keyboard?
2. Can I record with the sounds from a regular keyboard, into MMM? This is a huge reason why I am thinking about getting a regular keyboard. I can get over 500 sounds, besides what MM offers, which would help me a lot for creating my music!
3. Do I need to buy a soundcard? I am trying out the trial at the moment and I love the program! But, I do feel there is some kind of latency and my laptop that I use has awesome specs (like i7 CPU, 16gb ram, etc). How come? I thought the USB input would give no latency at all! How to fix it?
4. Should I buy the basic pack of MMM, with some things included, that is really cheap right now? Or perhaps the premium edition? I know the lincens things is kinda different in both, but if I make my own melodies with just the sounds/instruments without using any loops, I guess it does not matter what version I use of MMM, even for commercial use?
5. Something more to add? All I want is to be able to create orchestral music (like Adrian von Ziegler) with instantly response from my keyboard, in MMM and then share or even sell my music later on in the future, if that is possible!
Hope you can help me and please answear all my questions, because I really need some help with all of this!
Have a great new year and thanks in advance! :)
