Would be nice to be able to view the answers to my Screen Capture question but unfortunately I am met with:

Dear MAGIX Online Services user,

At MAGIX we are constantly working to improve our Online Services area. At the moment we are performing extensive maintenance work on the system.

Thank you for your understanding!

Sincerely,
The MAGIX Team

Strange then that all other question and answers are viewable.  What is this, are Magix not man enought to accept criticism?

Hi,

Download and install the last patch for your Magix software you can use the screen capture function. Pro like me use other softwares to perform screen capture image and motion the best screen capture is Camtasia Studio 7,1 it is costly but high result you can consider Jing is is free or Snagit. Other pro solution are Captivate 5, Demobuilder 7 and Qarbon with Viewlet. Depending the nature of your work Magix can fit for you and don't spite on Magix these poeple offer a very nice professional product for few bucks.... and don't imagine that companies like Avid, Sony abd Adobe are better.

This is my humble point of view.

Regards,

YR

Many thanks YR and sorry about the long delay replying before replying.  Yep I think you are right, if your bog standard punter like me is going to spend the sort of money Magix ask for their products, and they ain't cheap you want them to be, not necessarily all singing and dancing like a professional bit of kit, but to do at least the basic stuff without too much effort.  I will carry on with my copy of Movies on DVD for basic stuff but at the same time look round for something decent, reliable and not too dear staring with your recommendations.
