Scene recognition does not ‘cut all’ or ‘save as takes’

jober wrote on 4/11/2016, 3:42 PM

It didn’t work in the demo (15.0.0.73 ) but I figured the full version with the update will work. I have the 2016 premium 15.0.0.90 and still doesnt work.

Setting the Cut at all marks the scenes but doesnt cut them. Save as takes also doesnt work.

At this point i have to mark the movie in the timeline, get into scene reccognition, choose scene #2, check ‘cut at selected marker‘ then it cuts the first scene and returns to the timeline. I then have to select, ctrl+z, select #2 etc.. for each scene.

Is this a bug or is ther a way to work it correctly?

Thanks.

Hi

How many 'scenes' did the Scene recognition find?

Works OK on my MEP 2016 Premium 15.0.0.90

Using the default sensitivity of 5 on this 35 min clip it found 2 scenes only.

and made the cuts

Using a higher sensitivity 10 scenes were found

and made the cuts on clicking OK as shown below

   HiRes version here

Selecting the Save as takes option also works OK.

Thanks John but it doesn’t work for me.

I have the same options and screens, 16 scenes detected ok, testing different sensitivities, checking the correct checkboxes - it doesn’t work.

No splits in the timelines no takes saved.

Hi

That is puzzling - what is your computers processor and do you have an NVidia or AMD graphics card installed?

Windows 10 64bit
16gb memory
Intel core i7 3.40ghz
Nvidia GeForce gt520

I doubt this is a hardware issue though. This has nothing to do with the actual rendering or even the recognition itself which works. It does not finish the process of the cutting (and I can do it manually scene by scene so this is also not some hardware/rendering limitation).

Since it does work for you, and still I’m not the only one who has this issue, I would go for win10 compatibilities, or folders misplacements, international compatibility and these kind of things which are not fully taken care of on the product level.

Thanks.
