Hi @Andre-Duijzer, does this happen when you save as a PCM <.wav> file? Have you tried saving to a different folder location?
Sound Forge occasionally needs to be connected to the internet to verify codec licenses.

If that is not the case, I would try resetting SF and clearing the cache. In the 'File' menu. select "Reset and clear cached data". Close and restart Sound Forge.

If that does not help, reinstall,

Hi @rraud A different folder doesn't change the problem and I was connected with the internet. I've reset and cleared the cache, like you mentioned, but it didn't solve the problem (I lost my file though) So I closed and restart Sound Forge but the problem still exists. I shall reinstall. Thanks for your support!

Hi @Andre-Duijzer, reinstalling SF would be the next logical step.

It is often recommend to uninstall first using a third-party untility like 'Revo Uninstall' which can also remove left-over registry entries and other pertinent data the OS uninstall leaves behind which can cause an issue to reoccur. After uninstall, cold boot the PC and reinstall SF.

FWIW, Revo Uninstall is highly regarded and often recommended by Magix support as well. There are pro and freeware versions of Revo, the free version is adequate in most cases, unless a 'forced uninstall' is needed.

Hi @rraud I've used Revo Uninstall to remove Sound Forge Pro 12.

Shut the laptop down and put it back on.

Tried to install the Sound Forge Pro 12 again but receive the message that there is an error because there is no communication possible due to network problems, but I have a normal network connection.

@Andre-Duijzer

Shut the laptop down and put it back on.

That's not a reboot.

Assuming the installation files unpacked previously, try reinstalling using the files in your 'Documents' folder> "Magix downloads> installationmanager". There has been reports of the files not unpacking (usually anti-virus interference). If you do not have the unpacked files already and cannot unpack them, I can give you a link to the unpacked installer files on WeTransfer.

Otherwise you can request a Magix support ticket.

Hi @rraud if you will be so kind? The Magix folder is gone. Thanks man!

Thanks @rraud but sadly enough I receive another error message after installation, by activation of the software: an online connection could not be established. There is no firewall interrupting and I have a normal connection. Any ideas?

Keep trying, some other users with the problem have reported success after a few trys. No guarantee though, In any case, request a Magix Tech Support ticket
.. Requesting Magix support is 'a little' confusing, so you should peruse a my comment that has my step-by-step instructions:
https://www.magix.info/us/forum/unable-to-record--1272206/#ca1661047

You can try emailing Magix Support, but it is not the official support request route,
infoservice@magix.net.

Please update with what transpires with the issue, thanks.

Hi @rraud The problem is solved now, after a few tries the connection was established and the activation a succes. Thanks for your support!

You are welcome @Andre-Duijzer, I am glad it worked without going though the Magix support procedure.
