Saving layout

Recently purchased MM2022 premium. Very happy with it but I can't seem to find a way to save my preferred window layout. I'm experimenting with things like beatbox and song creator, but when I want to create my own music I then have to fiddle with windows to go back to MY 'default' (not program's default). Is it possible to save a layout?

Incidentally, I tried to search forum to see if this has been asked already but search insists on showing results from ALL forums. Why can't I just search in Music Maker area. There were over 350 pages as a result for "Save layout", I don't have to time to search all forums ๐Ÿ˜’

@HedCaseย Yes, the forum search is limited in usability. I think this is caused by using category tags instead of subforums.

Maybe it helps to search via Google and its site-filter?

Your layout should be saved after closing the program. Does it reset itself after each start?

It saves when I exit the program, yes, sort of. Difficult to explain. Let's say i start off with the layout I like, then I decide to have a look at beatbox, maybe next play with midi keyboard, maybe store perhaps. Now i have windows all over the place. I can get back to 'my default' by closing windows or moving them but I was hoping for the ability to save MY default as the default, so I could go back just by pressing F4 (or another key if that was the option).

I do generally exit the program with the windows the way I like, was just hoping for an easy solution if that makes sense.

@HedCase Music Maker is deliberately limited in features to make it easy for beginners, so I don't thinkt this is possible without editing configuration textfiles by hand. You can create your own layouts (called Workspaces) in the next higher version Samplitude Music Studio. It doesn't come with Beatbox, though. This is only included in Samplitude Pro X.

Fair enough. I just wondered if I'd missed something, and it was possible. It's not, I can live with it ๐Ÿ˜
