Saving files - what's going on?

Hello, maybe this is a feature request, but I'm really confused about how files are saved in Sound Forge. It's very counter-intuitive and completely different from how files are saved in just about any other application.

Firstly, when I save a file, I expect it to overwrite the currently-opened file. That's as expected.

HOWEVER, when I save as... to a new file, I expect the window to display the newly-saved file.

The problem in Sound Forge is that the previous, original file is still open in the currently-active tab/window. So if I subsequently save it, it overwrites the original file! 😡

The only workaround is to immediately close the file and click on NO - do not save the file! And then to open the other file that I saved.

Is there a setting in options to fix this (I've looked, but I couldn't find anything)? Or should this be a fix in a subsequent release of Sound Forge?
