Saving avi uncompressed files

Does anyone know why, when I save an avi uncompressed file it saves as sections of approx 4G, 22 seconds long files and mroe importantly how to make it save as one big file? : )

I will ask to make you the following:
1. Try to export video as uncompressed avi file on a logic disk with NTFS file system (on internal hard disk drive). Is the problem is solved? I will risk to assume that at record on external stores, the codec (or Program) automatically limits the size of a file to 4 GB that files it was convenient to write on DVD a disk.
2. Try to export video as avi or mpeg file (with compression), but that the size of a file did not exceed 4 GB (for example mpeg2 file with uration of 10 minutes). Is the file has saved normally?
