Save error - no license

Version 13. Been running fine but suddenly I'm unable to save - error "There is no license to use this software". Frustrating as really good performance done by a friend and unable to save it. The PC is always online when switched on. Searched for this and tried Help/News Help/Update etc to force it to check my license is valid. Someone said it may be a registry fix but not specific as to what the fix is. Thanks

Assuming you tried to save the audio in an alternate format (PCM is the best format in the editing stage) and a different folder. Does the problem persist after exiting and restarting SF? You also may be able to recover the audio. The temp files may still be in the temporary file folder, Unless it was changed by the user, the default location is (user name) AppData\Local\Magix\Sound Forge Pro\13.0. (as you probably know, the Appdata folder is normally hidden)

Try resetting SF. "File> Reset", select 'all preferences and cached data', then close the Sound Forge and restart.
Alternate method: Holding the "Ctrl + Shift" keys whilst launching Sound Forge brings up the same dialog.

You could also try deactivating and reactivating (Help menu)

If the issue remains after all the above . uninstall and reinstall, It is frequently recommended to use a third-party uninstaller like 'Revo Uninstall' that can remove left-over registry entries and other pertinent data the OS uninstall leaves behind, which in usually the root of recurring issues.

btw, best wishes for 2022 and welcome to the Magix Sound Forge users community @binks.b .

I'm actually really tired of having to uninstall and reinstall this software. Resetting is useless. In my opinion, this version (13) would have to improve just to reach the point of sucking. Too much time wasted on this.
