Samplitude Pro X5 stopped opening

Yesterday Samplitude Pro X5 Suite stopped opening - the logo appears and the basic program frame, and then just an hour glass. Pro X3 continues to work just fine. Tried rebooting, with no change. Strangely, Vegas Pro 19 Suite also stopped opening, while Pro 18 opens and works just fine. Are there some typical troubleshooting steps that I can try? Thanks.

@Tony-Rockliff I would try starting software with disabled Internet and disabled firewall or Windows Defender, running as administrator. If this doesn't help then I would reinstall both programs.

Wow, disabling the Internet solved it! What on earth?? And is there any other solution rather than disabling the Internet every time I want to open these programs?

@Tony-Rockliff There should be an option in the program settings to disable the Magix news that load up if you start the program. Maybe this will solve your problem?

Thanks, I'll try and find that. Telling it to never show them again doesn't do anything.
