Made the mistake of doing the Samplitude Music Studio 2015 trial! Now I want that one! :-)
Also didn't notice any of the cpu/memory spikes in it that MMM did for me in mine. I'll have to double check my audio settings in MMM to make sure...... But I like the expanded features and functions in MSMS! Great tutorials on Magix site for that specific edition too! I watched them all last night before diving into the new trial software......

I suggest that you wait a bit, 2016 should come out soon. Samplitude Music Studio is a step down from Samplitude Pro X2. You might want to take a look at it and it may or may not be overkill depending on your needs. Take a look at the tutorials on YouTube by Kraznet. Many are applicable to SMS.
There is also a separate forum for Samplitude and Sequoia and a Pro website with more information.

Truth be told, I already ordered a deal on MMM Live bundled with MMS 2016! I just got today and will be loading tonight after a HD clean up. The info on the std Music Studio 2016 wasn't to be found, so I'm curious to see what it has and offers! I do want to upgrade to a Samplitude version tho, maybe you are right to wait a short while til 2016 version and upgrade offer comes from the std I just bought. I hear ya on the Samplitude Pro X version! I'd love to have that someday, but it's a financial thing, and really don't need it as of yet. I have collected so many DAWs over past few years of coming into all this. I need to clean house, and HD, of some of those too! I do love the look and feel of Magix products tho, very different from the rest! I look at DAWs as tools, meaning ok to have and like more than just one.......I've been looked at sideways for that in a few product specific Fb groups before, lol, but it's true.... If they serve a need, why not consider them, even if you have others......right! :-)
I'm still looking fwd to the new 2016 Samplitude Studio release! I like the 2016 Music Studio I got, but think there is more to the 2015 Samplitude Studio version I have on 30 day trial, so waiting for the new one!........ :-)
