When I am using the midi composer and adding note by note to my compositions, I
have to add all of the notes and then press play in order to hear my composition.
Is there some way that I can hear the note as I add them rather than have to wait
until I press play? I tried changing the settings so that the notes are supposed to "play when clicked". But it still doesn't seem to work.
Is the 'speaker' icon highlighted (i.e., lit) in the MIDI track that you're recording into? It's next to the 'record' icon. I think it has to be to hear (i.e., monitor) the notes as you're playing/recording them. Hope this helps.
I can still listen to the sound when I press play. Just not when I add music notes, click on the notes, or move them. In other words I can listen to the music but not when I am composing it.
