Samplitude exports give blank silence at start of audio file?

Hey guys,

I am not actually a Samplitude user myself, but my band is busy recording an album and the engineer at whom's studio we are tracking the drums uses samplitude. Every time he gives me a quick bounce of the drum tracks, everything sounds fine, but it's very inaccurate.

I always ask for a 2 bar count in so that I can import the audio tracks and align them exactly on the grid. From all other sources this method works perfectly, but all exports from this guy are like this.

The strange thing is that it's not a given note value or anything, it's the same, totally arbitrary amount of blank silence.

Is there a setting that I can ask this guy to check on Samplitude?

Any and all help wil really be appreciated, I'm stressed as hell about this, we're starting guitar tracking tonight.

Hi,

You should post this question on the Samplitude forum. You will have to join.

Offhand, I would ask for a click track to go with the export. Then put the 2 together and see if they match up. If not, then ask the technician (sorry, I am a PEng and the word Engineer is reserved in my country) to do an export of just the drums track(s), not a bounce.
