Samplitude 11 Producer---How do I preview sounds in MIDI Editor?

jseebold wrote on 1/4/2011, 5:31 PM

I'm familiar with the System/Global Audio Options/Audio System screen and setting the audio driver (ASIO/MME)---I'm able to play sounds in both ASIO mode (through my Line 6 POD X3) and MME mode (via my Dell Inspiron 1420 sound card).

The problem I'm having is, for example: If I have a Vita piano track and open the MIDI Editor (i.e., piano roll view), I cannot click on the piano keys or objects to listen to the note---I can't listen to notes clicked on the piano keyboard or build a chord and listen to it.

Another example: I'm using Superior Drummer and cannot hear hits on the drums (graphic view of drum kit) or click objects in the MIDI Editor and hear them.

In both cases, I can play the section, but that doesn't help me to preview notes/drum hits and build sections.

Thanks!

Jim
