Sample rate/speed issue.

Soundforge doesn't seem to understand the sample rate of a wave file. I have many files for example that are 24bit/44.1k play back. I can play these files thru any other applications that NOT soundforge and the SPEED and PITCH of the song is perfect. When I play back from Soundforge, its playing back the song in a higher key and much faster. When I look at properties of the file, both Soundforge and the OS agree about the 24bit/44.1k rates, but obviously soundforge is not playing it back correctly. What is wrong with this?

Which version of Sound Forge. Read the 'Sticky' at the head for the main Sound Forge forum page.
I do not know about SF Audio Studio but in SF Pro, confirm the 'scrub bar' rate (small upward arrow at the bottom of timeline just below scrub fader ) is set to 1.00
Sound Forge playback is at the same sample rate as the file in the timeline.. though some sound cards can be locked to a specific sample rate.. Echo cards for instance.

btw, welcome to the Magix Sound Forge users forum @Joseph-LoDuca.
