Same video objects on two different tracks

Hi

I have just put the same 3 minute video on seperate tracks 1 and two. I used the Chroma Key using different settings to get a black and white effect, also title objects on track 3. I then went throuh the rendering process, the red line came up then after awhile the green line came up indicating the video is renderd. Played the video back and the sound came on also the tiltles but no video picture on the monitor screen, it was black.

I have renderd two more video's but I didn't use the same video twice on seperate tracks and they play back fine.

What is the problem?

Regards

Hi,

I am having a little trouble understanding why you thought to use chroma key to create a black and white effect.  Why would you not just have 1 video and use color or color correction to reduce color saturation to zero and you will have black and white.  If you only want part of the video to be black and white have a look at this to see the easiest way to accomplish that.

Good Luck

Colour correction or colou rwont not give me the same effect.

I have hidden certain things I don't want to be seen in the video.

I just want to know why it won't work the way I 've done it, the effect is great for what I want it for.

Hi,

Could you provide some detail and maybe a few screen shots of what you want to do and how you are going about it and it would be a whole lot easier to understand what you want and give you some advice on why it is not working.  I will send you a private message with my personal email if you want to give me more information or even send me a clip or two.

Good Luck

George

Hi George

If you go to my website, www.michaelblount.co.uk click on media page then video, click on the song called Sliding on a stone. This was done with Final cut Pro and the effect I created in Maxix was almost the same.
