Sale on instruments but software wont let me buy them at sale price

daveabove wrote on 3/30/2019, 8:16 PM

Ive got music maker premium from about 2016. I have a couple instruments loaded in MY INSTRUMENTS file that I haven't purchased yet but only lets me buy them at the full price even though a sale is on. There are also instruments in my EXPAND YOUR COLLECTION file but these are on sale and at a reduced price. How do I buy the instruments in MY INSTRUMENT file at sale price as that is the price they should be ATM. I dont know how to take them out of MY INSTRUMENT file so they then go into EXPAND YOUR INSTRUMENTS file and can be born at a reduced price. Any thoughts?

Hi

Have you updated to the latest patch 27.0.3.33 ?

At which point in purchase do you not see the discounted price?

Thanks for reply. The instruments I want to buy are not in the EXPAND YOUR COLLECTION file. They are in MY COLLECTION file. The instruments I want to buy in the MY COLLECTION file are not priced at first glance. I have to drag them to a track then a box comes up saying it needs to be activated or purchased. When I click purchase on that box, it opens an internet page that allows me to purchase it at the full price.

In other words the unpurchased files in MY COLLECTION file are not being recognised as unpurchased., The software thinks they are working as they are in that file. I spose I need to remove them from that file but I dont know how. When i remove it , it should then go to the  EXPAND YOUR INSTRUMENTS file, which shows instruments that can be purchased with the reduced sale price. I have purchased 2 instruments at sale price from  EXPAND YOUR INSTRUMENTS file, so it does work like it should, except for the few unpurchased instruments in the MY COLLECTION file.

Hi

. . . . MY COLLECTION file are not priced at first glance . . . .

Click the gear wheel top right of the Store tab and check Always show prices, they will appear when you hover the mouse over an item.

In the Program settings, General tab, click the Clean up store ... option - this will reset it. The image you posted appears not to be up to date this is what I get for the Analog Synths - note this is version 2

If you have had a previous version of Music Maker and the instruments you want were part of that version, providing it is MX, or up to 2016, you can unlock them by entering the old serial number into the Activate edition dialog under Help.

Johnebaker." ........In the Program settings, General tab, click the Clean up store........ "

I cleaned up the store like you said. My computer system rebooted.......but it came back exactly the same. Nothing changed, go figure.

"...........Click the gear wheel top right of the Store tab and check Always show prices, they will appear when you hover the mouse over an item............."

When I click the gear wheel I don't get an option to always show prices. It just gives me options to : add new instrument, sort by name, sort by category. My options are different to yours as I haven't purchased upgrades since I uploaded the software. Also my store does show the the price when I scan over the instruments. It is just not showing the price on a few instruments cause it thinks I did buy them. Magix staff have told me some time ago by email that i haven't purchased these instruments in question and they were not included in the package. Its the harp and sound track percussion that i want to buy but cant.

Cheers, thanks for your reply

Updating to the latest version is free. All you do once it's installed is activate previous versions.

See this tutorial:

Purchasing Plus or Premium just gives you whatever is being offered, including coupons for more Soundpools and Instruments. Then engine for Plus and Premium is exactly the same as the free version. Thus, update.
