@MikeFman

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

The most common reason for this problem is that you are playing a PAL tape in an NTSC machine, or vice versa, or that those settings within RYVT are wrong; you have selected to record in PAL when the video is NTSC or, again, vice versa.

You mention that Composite transfer is not quite such good quality but does the same problem occur if you use that connection?

Many thanks Jeff; no the composite works in colour. Will check the settings. Appart from this very satisfied with the results. I have a lot of family videos and must have been one of the few who bought a Sony F1 Betamax machine in the early 1980's. Have to use co-ax cable to get the video from this machine.

Hi

. . . . Sony F1 Betamax , , , , ,

What is the full model number of this recorder? If the SL-F1 are you using the VMC330 adapter to connect to the USB stick.

. . . . Have to use co-ax cable to get the video from this machine . . . .

Where are you plugging this into on the recorder?

Can you clarify what you are doing:

  1. Are you recording TV programs from the Hauppauge TV stick?

    If so what are you using to record them - the Hauppauge TV software or MEP?

  2. Where does the Sony F1 come into this?
