Runtime Modules codec error

Leah-Kubale wrote on 8/20/2021, 8:28 AM

I've just installed Sound Forge Audio Cleaning Lab 3.

I have imported a FLAC file and edited it. Exporting the same file as FLAC and I'm getting the following error message:

"This Audio Format cannot be used. Please install the correct Runtime Modules for this codec".

How do I fix this? Never had the issue with previous version.

Hi Leah-Kubale,

that is strange...i typically work with flac or wave files, and haven't gotten this error message in version 3. i wonder if maybe it's just a corrupted file? if so, then a 'clean' uninstall/reinstall should fix it. i would recommend trying that to see if it helps.

Thanks craig-d. I have tried a re-install and the same issue occurs.

I have figured out if I just call the file 'NEW' it has no issue saving. I've tried a few variations and I can't figure out what the software does not like in the song title. Even if I use just letters and take out the '-' and '('

This issue is with any song I use and it's random.
