RNEW UPDATE SERVICE MESSAGE KEEPS APPEARING

Christian-Steiner8905 wrote on 6/20/2023, 7:54 AM

I have renewed my subscription for the update and content for the year and received the usual confirmation from Magix etc. However, each time I open the program I receive a pop up message asking me to renew the update service - although it is renewed and has almost 1 year remaining.

Anyone know how I can rid of this annoying feature!

@Christian-Steiner8905 Have you gotten a different serial number or do you maybe need to install a newer version?

SP, Thanks but I have installed the latest version and serial number which was attached to the email I received from Magix after I renewed the subscription.

Hi

. . . . However, each time I open the program I receive a pop up message asking me to renew the update service -  I have installed the latest version and serial number which was attached to the email I received from Magix after I renewed the subscription.. . . .

Once you have renewed your Update Service you should get a popup, which is actually an installer, asking to update the Update Service program on your PC to the 'latest version' ie with your latest registration - is this what you are seeing?

Yes, I see the installer and I also click install. But after installing the update service I still receive the same message each time I open the program.

@Christian-Steiner8905 As long as you can still access everything in the content catalogue I suggest you simply ignore the message.

Besides that make sure you have installed the newest version from your customer account. It might be that your updated service is bound to a different serial number.

Be also sure to make a backup of the complete content catalogue before your service runs out. Because after that you need to subscribe to Xara.
