RIFF iXML chunk

I am trying to work out the minimum amount of data required in the iXML chunk of a RIFF file but Sound Forge PC (14.0 build 138) strips it. Currently I have my own custom metadata within the BWFXML tag; this metadata is only persisted by SF (even though it doesn't display) when there is other metadata, otherwise the entire iXML chunk is removed when saving the file. But I can't work out which other metadata needs to be there : I have tried just NOTE and PROJECT but these don't work - do I need to add a BEXT child in order for it to maintain my metadata?

Kind Regards

Sound Forge removes the BWF Metadata using 'Save as', it should retain it though using save. Some of the metadata is not available for editing either. Sound Devices (free) Wave Agent has more options for BWF metadata.

btw, welcome to the Magix Sound Forge users forum @DesBug.
