Restore original audio crash MEP 2015 plus

MEP 2015 plus program crashes every so often when performing the "restore original audio" function.

I only need to perform this action because the grouping function bugs out and won't let me ungroup files without ungrouping every audio file as well. These should be seperate functions. There is already a function that lets you have the video and audio on seperate tracks.

Didn't have this issue with MEP 2014.

Can you explain more what you mean by this ie

  1. what other files ?

  2. how are they grouping together in the first place ?

  3. are you using collages, a template or something else whcih is grouping the files ?

Hi John,

Thanks for your response. To answer your questions, I'll explain what happens. When I import video files, I leave the audio in the same track (I was working with a 32 channel version of MEP 2014) If you select one video file and "ungroup" it, it will seperate out the audio into another track. But I had multiple video files grouped (using the group fuction), and then I go to ungroup them, it will sometimes simply seperate the files as normal (which is what I assume it is designed to do), and sometimes it will seperate the audio as well and place it on a seperate track. When this occurs, I delete the audio track, and then on the video file I "right click > audio > restore original sound". In MEP 2015, I have experienced several crashes on the "restore original sound" function, while I did not experiences crashes in the 2014 version. I hope I've explained that okay.

No templates or collages. This is with video files which I have intentionally grouped.

I can upload image examples if need be. For now I will continue to save very often.

Hi

Thanks for the clear explanation.

. . . . When this occurs, I delete the audio track, and then on the video file I "right click > audio > restore original sound". . . . .

Instead of deleting the audio, right click the video and select Audio functions, Video / Audio on one track.

Hi John. Thanks for the advice.

I've managed to get around this but it is slow and long winded. I first have to ungroup the files, which seperated the audio and video. Then I have to group each audio file to each respective video file individually (I can find no way around this). Only then does it give me the option "video/audio on one track"

This is a bug that needs to be fixed. Both the fact that grouping and ungrouping doe bizzare things, and the fact that restore original sound crashes the program.
