Rescue Your Video Tapes 6 - Will not run on Win 7

brochures wrote on 1/9/2013, 5:36 PM

Just purchased V6 of this pgm. It does run on Vista but I can't get it to work on the machine I need it on - Intel Core i5 running Win 7 64 bit. Pgm is loaded OK and I have downloaded and installed the latest driver for the USB video converter. No video or sound appears on the screen and in the 'Advanced Settings' display no driver is shown (the box is blank). I have selected the Magix as the source in the previous step.

The box clearly states this product is for Win XP/Vista/7/8 (32bit and 64bit)

Help please.

Thanks

Charles

I have the same issue with version 7. Windows 7 mis-behaves in the same way. I will try our vista machine but I do need to use Magix on Windows 7

Hi

Did you install 32 or 64 bit drivers?

Depending on the USB converter you have there may be 32 bit and 64 bit drivers available.  RYVT 6 is 32 bit and must have the 32 bit drivers installed.  If in doubt install both if available.
