request Mac OS 10.6 version of free TX16Wx sampler

Former user wrote on 7/20/2020, 3:19 PM

It says " Users of Mac OS X 10.6 or previous versions can receive a compatible version from our support team."

How do I do that please.

The site seems terrible to deal with. Is this a real company or a scam?

I made a mistake, I realize you don't make the TX16Wx sampler. I meant the freebie Mac OS 6 version of your Magix Independance sampler as mentioned herehttps://www.magix.com/us/free-download/independence-free-sampler-software/

@Former user

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums. As such, no-one here can help you. You need to contact Magix via the Support button in the header of any forum page.

@Former user

Hi

On the page you linked to, at the end of the sentence where it says 10.6 and earlier users can request a compatible version, there is a link to request the sampler from the support team - did you not use this?

Thanks for your replies everyone.

Yes, I did try tthat link John. All I got was answers to questions I didn't ask. Nowhere did it have a place to do what they said: request the sampler from the support team.

I got places that said "ask a question here" and that was useless. I found a "chat" place and that was useless. There's no site map, emails or any contact info at all at the bottom of any page I saw. This is not encouraging for me to struggle with this company, if there is actually a company or is this a scam? I keep getting "Hello do you need assistance" and it can't help me in any way. Why are there no contact emails for a company that sells products?

Imagine Anmazon if there was no email contact info anywhere. How do you expect to make any money???

Does anybody have a link to a page where I can do that? Why wouldn't they just put that link on the first page?

Why is this so %$^&%^%^!!!! difficult?

@Former user

Hi

Click the Support link at the top of the page

  1. Select Ask support
  2. Select Music
  3. Select Music Maker
  4. Select Search for other solutions
  5. Enter anything, eg xyz, in the search box and click find a solution
  6. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and select Send a Support request

Complete the forms and send the request.

Thanks John, I will try that right now and post if it works.

Former user wrote on 7/21/2020, 4:48 PM

It snagged on step 4. I don't see "Search for other solutions". I see "SIMPLY CREATE MUSIC.
THE NEW MUSIC MAKER" and a video trying to sell me something.

Really, this is sop messed up that I ask myself,what is wrong with whoever is running this company? Wht the heck wouldn't they simply put the link on thw first page to downlaod the product. I've spent around two hours on this and about ready to move on. I will give it 1 more hour.

Is there not simply a link I can click on to contact someone at the company who can help me?

Is this what it will be like if I give the company money and why should I expect it to be any different?

Why is there no,. not one contact email on any of the pages I've looked at for the 2 hours?

@Former user

The link takes you to:

Which takes you to:

Which gives you:

Create an account. Once in, describe your request. You will probably have to click on next a few times, and then it will give you a screen with your email info and a Send button.

BTW, it's free. Magix caters to Windows users and only a couple of legacy programs, like Independence for Mac. Don't expect more.

Thanks John, I know it takes time to answer like you did and I appreciate it. I'll try that now, I didn't realize I needed to click on "Purchase Consultation Contact". I will try that. I already have an account, I think I need one to post here, thanks.

Former user wrote on 7/21/2020, 6:32 PM

Thank you, that worked. Whew. I think very few people will go through what I have to though.

Imagine if you saw an ad in the window of an ice cream shop that said "free samples" and you had to wait two days and talk to several store managers to get one, this has been like that.

Totally preventable.

Seriously? Is this what you do? Complain about a little difficulty in getting a free obsolete version of a product for your obsolete computer?

@browj2

Hi John.

It seems the OP has now deleted his membership of the forum, hence the "Former user" name now appearing. Seems very "strange" to register to ask only one question, and then complain when the correct answers given to him do not meet with his approval!

I will close this thread now.
