Replacing a section of audio with another section of audio. dwgomola wrote on 10/17/2016, 10:56 AM I have a video that has a 10 second section that someone to my left began to talk. I'd like to retain that section of video. Can I copy a section of clean audio and place is over the top of the talking. What is the best way to do that? Thanks, Dan Gomola Back to post

Ensure the mouse is in Single object mode (press 6 ) Select the audio Move the timeline cursor to the start of the section you want to remove Press T Ensure the section of audio after the cut is still selected and move the timeline cursor to the end point of the part you want to remove. Press the Z key - this should remove the unwanted portion and leave a gap. Add the replacement audio to the timeline, trim and insert into the gap. Then you can cut it out and leave the section silent. Select a section of the same length with a bit you want to copy and do the same, copy it, and place it under your silent section. Thus you have cut out the sound bite you did not want and patched something else in its place. I am no expert but this worked for me. Meveer 1
