Render to MP4 messed up on MEP2016

I recently up-graded from MEP 2015 to MEP2016
I tried using 2016 for my latest video. It was then that I encountered several problems.
After completing my project I was very disappointed trying to export the final result.
Most of the files on the timeline were youtube MP4. When I set it to render in MP4 the resulting file had elements of the time line omitted, Not there, not present in the output or if present out of sync. I suspected the MP4 CODEX to be the problem so I downloaded X264vfw (MP4 Codex) and tried again with this one and everything rendered fine.
Later I tried rendering to MPEG2 (Magix supplyed) and encountered the same problem that I had with the MP4 CODEX. I became frustrated and opened my project in MEP2015 and tried to render again. Both (magix supplyed) MP4 and MPEG2 worked normally.
It seems like there is a CODEX issue in MEP2016, and this is quite disturbing having to shuffle back and forth between crippled software.
How can you leave MEP 2016defective? Never mind I paid money for software that cannot be used.
My system is a Dell Optiplex with a quad Xeon  processor and a Gigibite Radeon R7 240 display board. I have 8 Gigs of RAM. The operating system is windows 7 ultimate.

I have two computers that I use for video editing. On my other computer I cannot run MEP 2015 because of issues with it being on two machines and I have used up all my switching privileges. This is very annoying and makes me want to give up on MAGIX.
The other computer has different hardware I need to use, like my MATROX capture board. Now I cannot run MEP2015 and don't want to run MEP2016 because it is defective. Last time this happened MAGIX released the lock allowing me to have the software on both computers, Now its back to the same way again.
In a previous email I told MAGIX that MEP2015 would not wok at all with an Nvidia GTS460 with updated drivers.
Here is the contents of the previous email:
"
I am using Movie Edit pro 2015. It works fine provided I do not up-date my Nvidia GTS450 drivers. However now I have a problem I am using Adobe Premiere CC2015 and… for hardware acceleration (CUDA) to work I must use one of the updated drivers for the Nvidia Graphics board I own (the GTS450).
I use both programs, but right now I need to switch back and forth between two drivers.
The drivers in question are Nvidia GTS450 driver #310.90 this one works for magix but not for Adobe Premire . The next one, driver #331.65 does not work for Magix and does work for Adobe.
When Magix doesn’t work with the 331.65 driver it just dies at startup… Never comes up. My computer uses Pentium D processor.
There was an error message that came up once, after reinstalling, but didn’t write down what it said. I remember it saying it couldn’t find certain files…Something about Angle open GL ES 2.0

The  14.0.0.183 patch did not fix this problem"

Also MEP2016 does the same thing.

MAGIX If you deal with any of these complaints please deal with MEP2016 rendering to MP4 and MPEG2 first. I can't help feeling that MAGIX just doesn't care any more.

MAGIX please fix you software!

Hi

MAGIX please fix you software!

There is nothing wrong with MEP2016 or it's default CODEC's that could cause the problems you are seeing. In fact I have never seen a version of Magix software that would not work with any late version of Nvidia driver in many years of monitoring this Forum.

Having said this though, your Graphics card is not a common one I have seen crop up here. Are you sure it meets the minimum requirements of the software? The Open GL 2.0 is a compliance necessary in the Graphics card, and is a driver component that is required for it to function AFAIK.

Unfortunately I think you will have to look at your installation and hardware.

Try Reinstalling, or Repairing MEP or at least "Resetting the program to defaults".

Make sure you do a "Clean install" of the graphics driver, available in the Nvidia installer. Alternatively you may like to use the latest driver from your PC manufacturers website, as often they modify drivers to suit their hardware.

I am a little intrigued as to how you selected the X264 codec instead of the default, as I am not sure how this can be done.

Be aware this forum is a user forum and is not monitored by Magix, just people like yourself. If you want to complain about the program (which I do not think is justified in this case) you need to direct it to Magix Support.

Thank you Scenestealer for your answer.

As far as the Nvidia GTS450. I have given up on it and put it up for sale. The issue with MEP2016 is happening with my other computer which uses the Radeon R7 240 board and Quad Xeon processors.I will try your suggestion, of completely uninstalling MEP2016 and while I’m at it, I will uninstall MEP2015 as well. Then I will only install MEP2016 first. And test it. The Radeon GPU works very well, found no issues with it.
Thank you for your suggestion we will see.
